Daniel Barkhuff
Chief Executive Officer & Founder
A 2001 US Naval Academy graduate and combat decorated Navy SEAL with deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. After military service, he attended Harvard Medical School and completed Residency Training in Emergency Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Currently an attending physician at the University of Vermont and Director of Trauma Care in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Founded Veterans for Responsible Leadership and the Vermont Afghan Alliance. Lives in Vermont with his wife Whittney and 4 children.
Zack Czajkowski
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
A political consultant, public affairs professional, and strategist who began his career as a field organizer for Obama's 2012 reelection campaign in Florida. Has managed campaigns from school board to US Senate. After managing Katie Hill's successful red to blue campaign, served as Political Director of The Lincoln Project during the 2020 cycle. Founder and CEO of Brackish Solutions and Director of Public Affairs at Four Corners Strategies. Lives in Durham, NC with his wife Dr. Sarah Cunningham and their rescue bulldog Petunia.
Matthew Hanauer, PhD
Chief Technology Officer
PhD in Quantitative Research Methodology from Indiana University with 30+ peer-reviewed publications and national conference presentations. Named Becker's "100 Healthcare Leaders Under 40" (2025) with 7 patents pending in AI/ML innovation. Brings 15+ years building production-grade AI products at scale, with deep expertise in LLM systems (MCP, RAG architectures, agentic AI), machine learning, and causal inference methodologies. Combines rigorous academic training with hands-on experience leading cross-functional AI teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
Jordyn Geruso
Chief Marketing Officer
Executive Director of Veterans for Responsible Leadership (VFRL), a national organization with 5,000+ members that raised over $1.27M in the 2024 election cycle. After earning her bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management and Marketing, transitioned from Human Resources to the political arena in 2023. Has contributed to other pro-democracy organizations including Women4US and Valor Media Network. Lives in Montana with her fiancé, their dog, and horse.
